Hi,

DD has been riding now for a couple of months and really enjoying it. The teacher usually asks some questions at the end of the lesson about the horses - things like the colour/markings, names of parts of the body etc. I'm looking for a book recommendation that would be helpful for DD to learn more about horses in general, but not too wordy as she's only 6. Any suggestions?

my little cousin is MAD into horses and has been riding from a very young age so has loads and loads of lovely little books her favorties seem to be one by Katie price which despite what you might think is informative and seems to have a lot of pictures and information but by far the best (which even had me reading!) was one by pippa funnell, it has all the markings, colours, tack, grooming and techniques as well as little games and puzzels etc ill try and find a link for it but id definetly recomend it if you can find it :)

Yuk please not Katie Price!

Dorling Kindersley used to do a lovely book called The Young Rider, full of photos and info. All 3 of mine have read it and my 6 year old loves it.
