we have done white tails but does anyone have any tips on white (now yellow) bottoms?

So dmare is a lovely blue and white with pink skin. Like all greys she likes to rub her tail, bum and legs in poo at every chance

I have stolen your wisdom on manes and tails but I am wondering what I can do on her actual coat? Could I use pig oil or something? Am concerned her skin wouldn't breath though! She is being clipped soon so I want to take advantage of the temporary cleanliness and keep on top of her but don't want to upset her skin with it being so pink!

All suggestions welcome, I know her previous owner used bleach but I am not comfortable with that long term!

On phone so can't link but google Supreme show products, go to their professional section and look at the blue shampoo. Their coat shine on a freshly washed horse also seems to repel dirt x

She sounds gorgeous ! I'd spray her with something high in silicone - show shine or FrizzEase type thing (obv not in saddle area) to seal the hair and stop the stain getting into the hair so you can wash it off at intervals

I too have a lovely grey bum to keep clean. Best thing to do is clip as you are doing and then use a nice coat shine to ward off evil dirt. Then make sure that any really bad stable stains are washed off as soon as you can. I also make sure she wears her out door rugs indoors so stains don't seep through!

The problem I have is that my mare likes to lie down and rest her head in poo! So most of the winter she has a poo eye patch. Think she does it to keep warm but it's so not attractive and she hates it when I clean it off.

I used to have a grey so I feel your pain. I did find that a rug with a fleece lining would do a pretty good job of lifting dirt out of the coat, which meant a rug to clean of course!
Cactus cloth is useful for getting off the worst of stable and grass stains on the other bits.

CMOT she is rather, half Arab so quite a pretty girl if you like that kind of thing. I didn't before dmare arrived but I think I have been won over lol. Previously I was strictly a hairy cob kind of girl who would never again have a grey...

DDs pony has had the tail flap of her rug removed by the herd joker! (18hh of Forest Gumpalike!) so has a huge, permanently dirty, circular patch on her bottom. We just ignore it!! She always was the 'Bog of Eternal Stench' and delights in being manky, so we have given up fighting it! We now just tell people she is coloured! poobald!

I wish I could catpuss but we are still competing so a reasonable turn out is required - even dd takes the mud off her boots am liking poobald though!
