Bloody Shetlands and welsh As! I've got 6 little buggers in my paddock, and all I wanted was to give my brood mare and foal a new piece of field, and chaos has ensued! Ponies running in all directions, 2 Shetlands staring wistfully at the others in the long grass, brood mare where she should be, stuffing, and the others including the colt charging about in the spare bit! My battery is bloody flat, and my fence tape is 6 bastard feet to short!
I've given up and left the buggers to it! I'll go back later and sort them when they are full!
I so etimes wonder why I bloody bother!!

I'm with you on the Shetlands - I watched friend 8hh shetland terrorising her 17hh eventer in the corner of the paddock one day, and realised just why I didn't like the little sh*tland.

I've had a thorough beating from a mini shitland! The mini terrorist was in a field with a horse and a footpath and i was, foolishly, trying to use the footpath with two dogs on a lead. Little shitland spied us from miles away cantered up and totally unimpressed by my years of horse ownership kicked and rear-kick the bejesus out of me!!!

Give me a HW cob any day of the week!!

That's shame! Nice area though. Dd and I went to Winchcombe and climbed Cloud Hill at sunset. It was beautiful! UNTIL, we realised we were up a bloody great hill in the middle of nowhere in the dark!

Every single Shetland I've known has been either demonic, bloody minded or both. Section As are lovely though, even when mischievous.

Booboostoo I can't agree with you I'm afraid. I have a HW cob that I don't trust as far as I can throw him, he is the evil one. Our shetland is the sweetest darling you could imagine, so there! < blows raspberry>

It's funny though, the only thing the cob is afraid of is the shetland. She barely comes up to his belly and is 22 years older than him but he doesn't argue with her.

Oh and cows, he's afraid of those. How could I forget that?!
