I nearly put (no fill) rug on horse today, he is advanced in years after all. But it's not exactly cold is it? Has just been raining and is not hot, also bit annoying when want to ride and they are dripping wet. Wish we had solarium.

I try to keep it to minimum as he is a bit princess and the pea about anything touching his withers.

lucky hairy horses dont bother me!!! or compete in a sport where looks count!

MitchiestInge · 18/07/2011 21:21

Don't mind mine being hairy, one is a cob type after all, but it's the skeletal look of the older one am not so keen on!

therugratref · 18/07/2011 21:25

The oldsters are entitled to a bit of help- mine are all under 10.

I've said it before, and i 'll say it again.... Bloody TB pansy! You only have to show him the hose and he shivvers!

cedmonds · 19/07/2011 11:02

All of are showing ones have thick rugs with neck cover on at the moment. They are such wimps and it saves on the clipping for shows etc. My sons pc pony has got a rug on at night but i am trying to get him to put weight back on after being ill
