Queenie looks how I feel, blardy tired!

Come to think of it, I've never (in my sheltered city life) actually seen a horse sleep.

They dont really sleep for long. They tend to doze when they have some peace and quiet. They may only lie down for a couple of hours a day/night.

They've switched Queenie's feed to daytime now if you want to watch.

How much exercise is it safe to give a horse due to foal? Would Queenie be in the stable all day?

No they are still showing the pigs during the day, they usually switch to Queenie around 5pm.

She is usually out all day, presumably brought in fora feed around 5pm so thats when they switch back to here.

It would be a bot boring watching an empty stable all day. Saying that its been a bit boring watching her eat straw at the front, stomp her feet around and then go and doze in her corner for the past 2 weeks

RE how much exercise. Being out an about all day is brilliant for her. some people ride their horses until a month before their due date! some even start again after the foal is 4-6 weeks old. Its like with pregnant women, its perfectly safe to keep up your usual exercise routines as long as you are comfortable.

Distaster - but isn't it so compelling to watch JUST IN CASE

I have her webcam open in a tab and keep checking her every few minutes as if anything is going to have changed! You just cant help yourself can you.

I've got it in favourites and keep the tab open all evening too. My mum popped up on MSN at midnight the other night to see if I was still up, because Queenie was lying down!

OTOH her bed is positioned so its mainly at the back of the stable and thickest towards the right so hopefully she will choose 2ft of straw over concrete to give birth on.

Everyone I was watching last night before I fell asleep. She lifted her tail up for about a minute and started looking at her back end. I thought ooh is it starting? Then did a massive poo and went back to dozing. Rude.

What do you think they should call her foal? I'm thinking Duke or Duchess
