Pension contributions dropping massively?

I have just read that employers contributions are dropping from 28% to 17% in April 2027. This is a huge drop, why isn’t this being talked about? Am I missing something?

It's because they've calculated that they don't need such high employer contributions to fund the pensions. It won't change the amount anybody gets for their pension.
