i called in sick today I am on probation it’s my 2nd week I had a horrible migraine so I could definitely not go in. They must be looking at me like I am taking the mick or unserious . I won’t be in some sort of trouble will I ? I called in as stated in the policy. I feel embarrassed

If you're sick and you followed the policy you'll be fine

Nope - unless you’ve gone abroad on a stag/hen do like some teacher did and then rip out pages of their passport to cover it up…. As reported in the press recently…

I can’t see you being in trouble. Everyone gets ill. communication is important right now. Just communicate and keep them updated on your return.

I’ve Seen that ! So sad that some people ruin it for others. I had a migraine I will be in tomorrow as it lasts a day but leaves usually hours after taking sumitrapan. The thing for me is I’m new and it was my 2nd week this week so they might be thinking I’m one of those people .

Don't worry. You are genuinely unwell - from time to time it happens. Yes it's unfortunate that you haven't been there long but you can't change that.

Go back when you are better you may have to do a return to work from. That's ok.

Hope you have good health for the rest of your probation - but if you get I'll again don't stress (that will only make the migraine worse) .

Wish you well
