I’ve been the target of some demeaning chat between teenage boys recently. Sexual violence related.

How to cope with this?

Have you spoken to your line manger SLT?

I work in a large secondary school and they are very on the ball regarding the rise of misogynistic behaviour by teenage boys and have made it clear there's a zero tolerance approach.

Are these kids being sanctioned? Is there someone you can call for support in the moment if needed?

Keep a diary of all incidents. Time, place, those involved. Talk to you line manager and also the Union.

If it is happening in lessons then ask for the students to be removed and then ask what sanctions have been put in place. Also ask if parents have been contacted.
