AHT progression

If I would like to be AHT in a few years, is a lead prac role helpful. Did a hod role for 2 years. Side stepped into a trust role (non teaching), then came back to be a hod again and not found it particularly enthralling. A tough team and even tougher expectations.

Anyway, an LP role has arisen at work and I am very interested. My line manager said, in relation to wanting slt progression that’s an interesting side stepped, but my aim is that essentially I’d have whole school teaching and learning experience, the chance to support people individually etc.

Can I still progress if I do this?

Yes of course. if you are interviewed, I would advise you to be clear about your longer term ambitions
