I'm trying to apply for SATS marking as I've done it for a couple of years now and pay is rubbish but CPD is great. The form is awful and it looks like you need to be a current teacher which I'm not as I'm a private tutor now after 20 years experience in primary. Has anyone else been offered a job yet? It's really unclear on the criteria to apply and if they only want current serving teachers then they simply won't have enough SATS markers come May.
You also need 2 references and so they tell your current school as well which may put some people off applying if their school says no.
I left in 2023 and since then the entire management has changed from HT all the way through and hardly anyone I know still works there. So they would be able to confirm dates hopefully for KCSIE.
Hopefully I'll get through but wondered if anyone else is applying or been accepted/rejected?
