I'm not sure how much longer I can go on. I'm on the third horrible parent email of the week and I only work Tues- Fri

It's hard to the point of drowning people at the moment
It's a minority but the kids lie and parents react before finding out the truth, when the truth is told, they never apologise though...

Sorry you're having a rough time. Are you primary or secondary? Is there anyone paid more than you that you can bat complaints back to? I'm lucky that a lot of parents don't seem to have figured out I have an email address! Long may it last.

I sympathise. It's such a hard job. They lie all the time and everyone jumps. I got out of full time teaching last year and I am doing supply at the moment. Much happier. The income won't be enough forever, I will.needbto find another career but get out I would say. Redign and leave at Christmas. Teachers are treated appallingly, whether it's by parents, SLT, the children or whoever.

I had a similar experience in the Summer term. I gave a student 1 behaviour point and this generated 2 very long e-mails from her Mother. I only had a contact covering a maternity. so that did help. I forwarded the e-mail to the HOY and SENCO and put something along the lines as please deal with. Due to the ridiculous email system at school the Mother knew I had forwarded the email. I did email the Mother and cc'd in both HOY and SENDCO and said that due the the seriousness of her complain I had forwarded this to SLT. Did not hear anything back from Mum. In the old days (well when letters were written) in one school the bad letters were photocopied and placed on the staff notice boards and then a competition was held to find the most SPAG mistakes. It helped..
