I've tested positive for covid. Am I allowed to go into work tomorrow (early years)? I do feel unwell but may be able to manage. Is there any rules now?
I dont want to be off so soon into the new term but I will be contagious so it feels wrong to go in. I have emailed school but no reply.

You can go to work if you are well enough to and are in compliance with school policies regarding staff illness. There is no requirement to test, report or isolate.

I've felt really poorly last night and today, I'm wondering if it's covid, it certainly feels like the same symptoms. Haven't got any tests though.
I think at this point you just have to treat it like any other illness, if you are well enough to go in then do and if you are not well enough then stay off.
A lot of people at school seem to be ill at the moment...!
At my last job a couple of years ago I fell really ill on the first day back and tested positive, I was chastised for doing the test and told that I should have just not tested and come in, despite feeling far too ill to come in! 🙄

If you feel unwell don't go to school

I didn't go in and it was the right decison - I wouldn't have managed. Hopefully I'll be feeling better for Monday. Thanks everyone.
