TPS - benefit statement missing

Just wondering if this is a problem anyone else is having? It used to let me see the statement online.

Service history is up to date. I am currently employed as a teacher (and have been for several years) so it's not that. The only thing I can see about it on the TPS site implies no showing of the statement until I take benefits - so potentially another 24 years. Surely that's not right?! I don't need a detailed statement but an idea of whether I'm looking at £6k vs £16k would be helpful!

I have messaged them but am not holding my breath.

Is it just me?

Can you actually log in to TPS? Lots of people seem to be having the same issue with not being able to see their benefit statements.

You could ring them, but expect a long wait. If you can ring at 8.30am when they open you may get through quicker. They could then send you a paper statement.

Yep, same. I checked recently because they sent an email saying I could check my benefit statement online, but there’s no link to it when I log in. I’ve filled in a form on the website asking for a paper copy. Checked my employment history and it says I didn’t work in Feb this year! That’s news to me. Glad I checked it tho - there always seem to be mistakes.

Yes, I've logged in okay and checked employment history - I do this semi-regularly since the time several (yet weirdly, not all) staff at my school received letters from HMRC telling us we had left our jobs! The MAT had taken their sweet time passing along info about our pension deductions to TPs, soTPS assumed we'd left and therefore (incorrectly) informed HMRC of that. Even when that was corrected, there were errors in salary and gaps in employment history which we had to get rectified. Took best part of a year to iron it all out.

That's exactly my situation, and what I have done. Sounds like it's not just me - that's some sort of relief, I suppose. (Sorry!)

There seem to be so many problems with / complaints about TPS - can you imagine if an actual school was run like this?!

I'm afraid that this is completely normal. I was last able to access my benefits statement eight months ago. I requested a paper statement some time ago, but nothing has arrived. There are people waiting indefinitely for CETVs so that they can get divorced!
