Re-doing 2nd pgce placement

My dd is considering this after being told - last week - she may not pass.
It's a very long story and sadly a great deal of it is down to an awful 2nd placement and mentor.
Did you or do you know anyone who did this?
Did it work out?
Would you advise it?
We are still waiting for info on the TS she isn't meeting.
Thank you.

Is she a student member of a union? They may be able to offer support.
This almost happened to me on my final placement ( 3 weeks after my Dad died)
Many years ago now as I am retired. No previous concerns whatsoever and other placements in very challenging schools had gone very well. The head seemed to make his mind up I shouldn’t pass ( against the advice of the teacher I was with)
Horrendous and upsetting time and I was ready to walk away.
Somehow between the teacher and my PGCE tutor it all worked out fine. Still not sure what the issue was tbh. Even the deputy fought for me as he’d seen a class assembly I’d done.
I had a long, happy and successful career including Senior/Middle Leadership roles and an advisory service role.
Hope it all works out.

Thank you.
Disastrous 2nd placement tbh.
She's going to ask if a re do is possible I think

I think I saw your previous post. Did she ever go back to uni? School cannot just fail her, there needs to be steps in place. She is honestly best trying to get through this or try and see if her uni can move her placement school for the remaining time. At least when she's qualified she might end up with a supportive ect mentor who can help her catch up. Redoing her placement is unlikely to hinder her, but starting mid year in a new job is hard for any teacher, let alone a newly qualified.

Thank you.
There has been no support.
It's been awful tbh and according to reddit sadly not that unusual in 2nd placement
She has a meeting this morning to discuss options
