Random people observing me

Today, two random people who I have never met before, wandered into my classroom, obviously judged me, and then walked out after about 5 minutes. They don't work at my school, they didn't introduce themselves.

How often are you randomly observed by people you have never seen before?

Also, this is surely not normal! How many other people get randoms walking into their work environment and judging them?

We often have governors, school partners, other people from the trust etc walking around

Mostly we are told in advance but sometimes not... I just crack on with whatever I was doing and leave them to make their own judgements from watching a tiny fraction of my teaching 🤣

Did they have ID badges on them? Were they not accompanied by another member of staff - seems strange to let ‘guests’ roam the school.

I would have certainly asked who they were for starters - governors should have an ID badge and wearing it so that staff not familiar with them/students are not alarmed.

They both had appropriate lanyards showing they had approval but I wasn't told they would be appearing or who they were.

Just sick of randoms judging me and then disappearing.
