Maths interview lesson

I have a maths interview lesson but am confused by the directive. It is for a Year 3 class but also needs to be differentiated for FS children. The content I have been asked to cover isn't in the FS curriculum so I assume I should do something along the same theme but in line with the curriculum for this ability.
Directive...
count in multiples of 4, 8, 50 and 100; find 10 or 100 more or less than a given number; the task should be adapted for the differing abilities within the class

For FS I would be asking children to make sets of 4, 8 etc. I would give a context for example each toy animal needs 4 carrots. For the more/ less activity I would be asking the children to find one more and one less, again with a context such as each animal needs to have an apple, but now another animal has come so how many apples do we need now?

Good luck EmeraldBear!

Thank you. This is along the lines I was thinking; keeping the theme but really drawing it back to the very basic. I might try to go for adding ten still in FS as a challenge activity as i intend to have practical resources to aid.
