Handover Period

Can staff be made to do a handover period. For more important roles like Head, Business Manager, DSL, Department/Year Heads, how will handover work if employee 1 leaves in July and employee 2 starts in September?

Usually a handover period in the summer break. I did a handover with my replacement when I moved schools last year (I’m HT) and I met with the interim HT and CoG for a handover too in mid August when I returned from overseas.

If you leave a school in July, you are still usually contracted until 31st August meaning that the school can still require you to fulfil duties in this time.
