Apple or Windows

What would your thoughts be if your school switched to using all apple products? Would it be realistic for the regular PCs to be iMacs?

A private school near me gives staff a MacBook and an iPad, and students get an iPad. However, they still use Microsoft applications.

As a Music teacher, I'd love it, apart from the Windows stuff.

My state school did the opposite. We were asked what we wanted, so I asked for a MacBook. I was given a generic Windows laptop running all Microsoft applications. The only specific thing I can access on there is Audacity, which is useful the 3 times a year I need it. When I reminded them that I asked for a MacBook, I was called ungrateful by a now Deputy Head.

I was given this machine in summer 2019. Several of the keys now only work intermittently. Teams and OneNote are awful for anything musical. Recording anything on it sounds like we're at the bottom of the Atlantic. I got my last MacBook in April 2020. It is still working perfectly, despite being used every day (unlike my work laptop). It syncs to my phone and iPad (used for performing). My old MacBook dates from 2010 and still works fine.
