Getting energy and enthusiasm back

After teaching for 20 years, I really feel as if I am losing my energy for it! Not surprising in a way. I don’t think it shows at all when I am at work but any tips or advice on how to get my teaching mojo back. I feel like I am just going through the motions each day. Everything feels like a big to list at school especially but also at home as well with DC and DH. I need to work for another 20 years so can’t go round feeling like this. Objectively, I still like the job and am good at it. Any tips appreciated. 🙏 Maybe a chabge is needed? Thanks.

I feel similar to you. I still enjoy teaching but do feel lacking in enthusiasm (but do not make it apparent at school). It does help to keep a gratitude journal and to pay more attention to things that go well and also to have more awareness of challenges I have handled.

I am feeling the same and only in my fourth year... I am trying to come home with at least one positive thing about my day - something I am grateful for, a nice interaction with a child etc. (haven't been trying it long enough to tell you whether it's really helping!)
I'm trying to make the most of my time outside of work and make sure I plan things I can look forward to... doesn't make the 'in work' stuff any easier but does give me other things to focus on!
