Didn’t appoint internal acting deputy head. Head brought in her own so think she’ll have had interview questions before. Leaving as not valued. They want me to carry on until Christine as acting. Am looking elsewhere

I’m sorry OP, it sounds like you have had a tough time but I’m not sure exactly what has happened. Are you saying that the HT brought in her own candidate who was given advance notice of the questions? That’s a very serious allegation. By all means vent here if it helps but don’t repeat that in real life unless you have proof.

No of course won’t repeat and it maybe she is just fantastic at answering questions . I am asking for feedback as to how I should have answered one question as that will help in next interview if I get one. Lots of new heads bring in their own team I know so wasn’t surprised but need feedback to know what I could have done better. Feedback for acting deputy head interview was that I flew through interview so confused. I spoke to another head who said she thought the new head would want her own team so not surprised just what was the point. I’m putting it down to experience and will start looking around. At least I’ve had recent interview experience..
