TA salary

I’ve recently started supply primary TA work, I’m getting £85 per day (inc holiday pay). I’m trying to understand if this seems reasonable?

Can I do supply work directly with a school hence avoiding the agency and any cut that they are taking from my salary?

I’m based in the midlands

Some schools and MATS have started recruiting for bank staff. It might be worth asking them.

£85 per day works out as £16 575 pa. (Daily rate x 195). I don’t know how this compares to actual TA pay these days.

The advertised rate for TA work often assumes 37.5 a week, 52 weeks a year. Sometimes you can find out actual rate but it’s a lot lower once it’s been pro rata’d
