Reference after 8 weeks?

Does anyone know the shortest time working to obtain a reference? I've been a midday supervisor since the first week back after easter so I make this my 8th week working. I had a TA interview today and got the job so now I have to ask my current school for a reference, will they give me one after 8 weeks as I guess I've kind of mucked them around 😔

They could give you a factual reference confirming the dates of your employment and job role.

Could you go to your previous employer for a more detailed reference?
