Trying to gauge the overall national picture compared to my current situation. Do you have permanent TA’s in class at your school? Do you think a Labour government will inject more money into support staff or are we becoming a distant memory?

Yes we do throughout our primary school although alot are mornings only. I really hope TAs aren’t a distant memory as they are very much needed!

Not sure if permanent but yes we have a general TA who is shared between two classes a couple of days a week who does in class support and interventions. I haven't had a full time class TA for maybe 8 years.

I am secondary - we currently employ 16 TA’s across the school all of which are permanent. They don’t typically have set teachers they work with - mainly just the challenging classes or those that have a level of SEN students.

Hoping that a Labour government will inject more cash into schools. We can hope!

No, mornings classroom support and afternoons doing interventions. Not full time though.

We currently have a TA for every class, mornings only, except EYFS who have fulltime staff.

However 2 of our TA's are retiring in the summer and they aren't being replaced because of budget cuts so that means some classes will have to share a TA.

I have 3 TAs in my room all day.
