Hi,
Hopefully I have posted in the right section.
I have been offered my first TA position and it's for 44.6 weeks p year. I was under the impression that school weeks are 39.
Can anyone advise on which holidays I lose or are schools actually open 44.6 weeks
Thank you

I'm a teacher and I work 195 days which is 39 weeks.

Some office staff and the care taker do work in the holidays and their contracts reflect this.

The kids are only in for 190 days.

It might be that you work for 39 weeks but your wages are spread over 44.6 weeks but I'm sure. You'd need to clarify with the school.

This is a standard term time only contract, it's 39 weeks at work, plus your statutory 5.6 weeks holiday pay. It will be paid over 12 months.

The above post is correct.

Hi my school is paying me 38 wks and 5.7 holiday pay . But i see the calendar i am working 195 days. Should i speak ti my finance? If yes it is adjustable for my previous hours as well?

Do you work insets? If you do then yes they are underpaying you by a week. And they will owe you that time back. Do you have a school business manager? I'd speak to them.

Most TA Don't work inset days so 190 days or 38 weeks

Sometime plus one day for safeguarding training
