Hi some advice please . My dd is applying for a ta job. Interviews beginning of may, states immediate start on advert.

Dd has a weeks holiday booked 24 June - 1st July.

I've said if she gives notice on her current job after dbs/references come back she could potentially negotiate a start date after the holiday.

She would prefer to start as soon as possible. She finishes uni mid May and her current job is a part time waitressing role. So she would like to start as soon as dbs is done.

But in that case she would need to declare the holiday. I said she should do this at job offer but she thinks it would be better at interview. I'm concerned it will put them off her.

Any advice?

If she's offered the job, she can explain that she has a holiday booked already and ask the school to let her go. I've seen it done before.

So better to wait until offer?
