It's obviously Easter so can't talk in person to Head but I need to ask if I can use him for a reference for a job application. He will be very surprised as I give the impression I am happy in my role and we have a good working relationship.
Would it be OK to email him about this? Not really sure of etiquette

I should add he has already emailed me several times about work stuff over the break!

I assume the application deadline is before you return to school?

Could you email him and ask if it is possible to ring him to speak to him?

If he says he is unavailable, I think you will just have to email the question.

Send an email and let them know that you’ve seen a role that you would like to apply for and would appreciate if you can use them for a reference.
