Hi MNers. I’ve been out of the game for a few years. Really need to start earning again as we need to get our own place. Not sure what sort of wage I’ll need but ideally full time would make us a lot more comfortable money wise. I also need to look at childcare for my son but separately from that needing some opinions from people who have done both. Is it possible to not have a mental breakdown whilst working full- time in teaching anymore?

I do 0.8 and have thoroughly enjoyed the reduced hours. Sad to say but I feel like I can do better quality lessons now as not so stretched and have a bit more work/life balance at weekends. Also, am more present for my students and family. But obviously less money so may consider return to full time at some point.

@Cat2024 thanks for this. I definitely think even one day less can make a difference to mental health. I've been out of the game so long that I'm thinking of supply to ease myself in.
