Ofsted in today and tomorrow! I'm English Lead at my school and having a deep dive in reading.

Anyone been through this recently? Properly anxious and haven't slept. We were in school last night until 11pm and I'm already in school now...car park was full by 6am.

It's a brutal system isn't it? 😬

You might not see this but just in case - I have supported colleagues through several inspections recently. They have universally been positive experiences and the inspectors have been genuinely mindful of their impact on the school. Remember that you are the expert on English and reading at your school, not them. The meeting is a professional conversation which you can lead and it is an opportunity to show off all that you have achieved. Don't try to fudge anything and don't claim they will see practice unless you are sure it is in place. Good luck Flowers

Good luck with OFSTED! Our last inspection was 2018 and we only had 30 minutes notice that they were arriving. You’ve had it beneficial!

Thank you both!

It wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be...intense but fair and I think (in my subject anyway!) that it went well.

Day 2 tomorrow...and it could all go wrong I guess, so 🤞🤞 for an equally positive day!! X
