Advice needed please

My child is in her first year of a primary teaching degree at university and she has been at her placement four weeks today she has had an email from the university advising her placement has been withdrawn and when she has asked further questions they have said it’s her lack of subject knowledge

She has set her heart on being a teacher but she has dyslexia and i have often worried she won’t be successful because of her dyslexia

How can they withdraw after 4 weeks every time she has had feedback it’s been good although they have managed lack of subject knowledge

Her lesson yesterday wasn’t great behaviour wise but the children were on a school trip the night before and were very tired

Was she on any kind of action plan before hand? It seems quite extreme to be withdrawn from placement without any prior intervention?

she had an action plan and was advised she had 2 weeks until it was reviewed but they have terminated after 3 days

The class teacher has probably asked not to have the student anymore. The school do receive a small amount of funding from the university but in all honesty it’s not much. Schools are so stretched right now, that sadly a student who needs a little more support in training will probably be shown the door.
TBH this is on your daughter’s university provider - how are they supporting her?
