I am currently second in English but the head expects me to also organise literacy across the school (secondary) including running the library, organising interventions for ks3 and 4 and running CPD.
I work full-time and have the standard number of PPAs plus 4 more for my TLR per fortnight. Surely the literacy responsibility should allow me additional frees? Everyone expects me to do all things to do with literacy but it is only mention in the JD briefly rather than stated as ‘head of literacy’ etc.
I think I’m being taken for a fool. After seven years on antidepressants, I’ve finally managed to come off them this year but the stress and inequality between my role and others’ is making me feel seriously depressed again.
Any thought would be welcome, thanks.
