Schools advertising posts but not sending info

If a school doesn’t send through application forms does this mean they are just massively disorganised or they don’t really want the position filled?

How much advertising for positions happens without the school actually wanting to fill it? Do they have to advertise even if they’ve found the person they want? Thanks!

I have found a similar thing. I have sent emails to a few schools asking which year group the position is for. Have had a response from admin saying they have sent my email to SLT. I then didn't hear a thing. It's very rude. I tend to think they have probably already filled the vacancy.

Thanks for your reply. It is rude and off hand. Never mind! It’s a good way to filter out schools that I don’t want to work in!
