In-tray exercise

I have an (non-SLT!) interview coming up which will include an in tray exercise. It's not something I've ever done before in teaching but it does make sense in context of this particular role.

Can anybody give me any guidance on if my assumptions about what it might be like are about right? Several scenarios to be put in priority order, perhaps with a line or two of explanation for my choices? I'm assuming the scenarios would be along the lines of a safeguarding one, an angry parent, a paperwork deadline, and an unhappy member of staff, maybe a detention to supervise. That kind of thing?

What’s the role?

WedRine · 04/10/2023 18:57

It will depend on the role. My previous job I had to sit a GCSE essay question and in my current role I had to mark an A level essay.

We’ve had HoD candidates review the current curriculum overview and suggest where improvements need to be made.
