Does anyone know when results from the NASUWT ballot are announced. I thought it ended a couple of days ago??? Might be wrong though.

Today apparently, I think there's some sort of mass zoom meeting but I can't find any link to it now.

Yes, it was announced a couple of hours ago. 89% yes to strike action, 94% yes to action short of strike, 52% turnout.

Today, but the ballot was disaggregated, so although a majority have voted for strike action, members can only strike on a school by school basis.

You can see how your school voted here: https://www.nasuwt.org.uk/ballot/england-state-funded-school-ballot-summer-2023.html

Anyone know why it was disaggregated? Is it to maximise the chance of people being able to strike? The rules are so stupid - a school with 5 teachers - only 2 voted (both yes) so not able to strike. But if 1 of the non-voters had voted no, then the teachers are able to strike. Madness.

I'm disappointed, I voted yes but out of six people eligible to vote I was the only one who voted, so I can't strike 🤷🏽‍♀️

Such a weird way of doing it. Our NASUWT members did vote to strike but one fewer and it would have gone the other way.

(I'm NEU btw.)
