I've accepted a TA job but I applied for another one that's closer to home and fits around the family a lot more. I'm really hoping I get it. I've not signed a contract but someone said that as I've accepted it still counts and I'll have to hand in a notice...never heard of this before. Any one work in a school and have any advice?

I know itbis classed as very bad form.to accept a job and then pull out. The school may not have time to recruit in time for the new term.

Have you accepted by email or in person / on the phone?
Remember the role you have applied for will need a reference from your current employer before they can offer you a job so your current employer will know what is happening if you make it to the final stages of the possible job.
