I had an interview this morning about an hour from where I live (I am moving soon) which was supposed to start at 8.30am.
It was for a HTLA position.
I wasn't told anything really about the interview so thought it would be a standard interview.
When I arrived (with two teachers who were applying for different roles), we were all given a schedule until lunchtime.
So every time a different activity came up, it was at least half an hour late. I was left for ages in one room where I was supposed to 'support' students but was told that they wouldn't speak to me anyway 🙄..
I did my best to try and engage for as long as possible but found in the end I was just standing around. It was supposed to be for 20 minutes but ended up being there about an hour.
Everything was running really late. I was getting a bit stressed as I was due back in work but tried not to show it.
I thought the head said that they'd call tonight and in my experience, I usually hear the same day.
I'm guessing I've probably failed it now.
I felt the rest went quite well and I did like the atmosphere minus the disorganisation for interviews.
What is your experience with interviews and did you always h ear back on the same day?
