Year planner

This year I’m determined to get organised. Every year I buy a diary but end up with a host of other notebooks and such stuff. Do any of you use a teacher planner type diary?

Our school places a big order every summer and we can choose either a traditional spiral-bound teacher planner (https://www.edplanbooks.com/product/the-teachers-planner-a4-size-wiro-bound/) or a day-to-page A4 diary. I always go for the latter as I’m an awkward leftie and can’t use spiral-bound books.

There are loads out there, i hate the ones with inspirational quotes on each page.
You need to decide what matters most, choice of colours and plastic wallet, go for Pirongs ( quite pricey) , or every page already dated, go for Loop education ( much cheaper)

The one I’ve been looking at has god awful inspirational quotes in it. I can’t buy it due to that!
Thanks for the other suggestions.

Every school I’ve worked in has supplied a teacher planner.

Same. I wouldn't buy my own.

They supply an academic year diary, but I wanted something with more in it. Also, if I buy something I like then I’m more likely to use it.

I love this one

Teacher Lesson Planner 2023-2024: Lesson Plan Grade and Record Books for Teachers August 2023-July 2024 Academic Year amzn.eu/d/5XsmiyM

I have one this year and just ordered one for next year too. It does have a few pages that I won't use so I photocopied the notes page and stuck them over so I have tons of notes space now. I hate writing on a spiral bound because I find it awkward so I love that it sits flat.

I've bought a teacher planner from the positive teacher company. I'm the same with having loads of notebooks, plus a small school diary provided by school, so I hope this will help me keep all my notes in one place for next year.

I love the positive teacher company ones. Although I wish I could opt out of some of the "tweeness"

I agree. I liked all the different sections but the twee ‘planning is my happy place’ pictures put me off.

I got one from Loop in the end.

The company that does the standard teacher planner sells them individually( I'm a Supply Teacher).

If you Google lots of other firms do planners at a higher price..

LittleEsme · 26/06/2023 22:32

Good thread OP - thanks.

My school doesn't supply planners. We get the same flimsy shit as the pupils.

Been looking at Pirongs - bloody shocked at the price!!!

PumpkinPie2016 · 29/06/2023 06:48

I use a pirongs planner - it literally contains my life for the year 😂

Definitely wouldn't be without a planner.

electriclight · 29/06/2023 21:03

Our school provides a very basic planner and diary. I buy my own from Pirongs, absolutely love them.
