Pension question

Am I able to pay an additional amount into my teachers pension, or does this have to be into an AVC ?
I worked part time for many years, so now I have a pay rise I'm trying to boost my pension to make up for my part-time years and wondered what is the best way to do it? Thanks

If you ask on there you will get a reply. This question may have already been asked if you do a bit of digging.There is a specific retirement thread and David Fountain posts regularly on there - he's an ex teacher whose taken a massive interest in TPS.
