Have been offered an interview for an assistant senco in a large secondary school. They have asked me to do a 20mins activity for the interview.

Currently an ta in a sen school which pays 1000 less then the maximum for this role .The travel costs will swallow every penny I costs.

However quite shocked to be asked to plan a lesson of 20 minutes for 10 kids on this job.

What does the JD say? Does it include running small intervention groups? I would assume they want to see how you interact with the children.

@Swanhilde .
Agree re the interaction but this is a whole activity with no information on kids .

Surely you ask for some rough guidance: age of children, approximate 'working age(s)', and disabilities such as sight/hearing impaired etc? Otherwise how could you possibly plan? I suspect the easiest sort of lesson would be PHSE as it wouldn't require any prior learning.
