Any Executive Heads on here?

I am currently a HT and I have been asked by the LA to oversee another local school in the capacity of Executive Headteacher as the HT has resigned with immediate effect (under investigation) Deputy has been in the role since September so not experienced enough to take on full responsibilities just yet - just wondered if anyone has been in an executive HT role and how they got the balance right?

Ex-HT (including interim HT on similar circs) and LA Officer.
It depends on where you own school is up to, where the other school is up to and what you find when you get there- it's often a can of worms 😉.
I would suggest that if you want to do it, you negotiate for your own DHT to have an uplift in salary as part of the package so that they don't feel put-upon.
Feel free to PM if you want.
