What support would you ask for?

Took one day off following a head injury (hospitalised), but probably should have taken longer - didn’t because it’s exam time.

Now struggling in work.

Is it too late to ask for support and what type of support would be reasonable?

What do you feel you need?

What do you feel you need?

Well, today I got through four lessons and a break duty, but became overwhelmed and upset in front of my period 5 class. They weren’t naughty or anything…I just stopped coping.

On busy days whilst recovering, I could really do with a member of SLT perhaps or a cover supervisor, coming to look after a class for 15 minutes or so, to give me some time to gather my mind. I’m struggling with memory and concentration and it takes so much energy just to read or think.

It’s wall to wall lessons plus duties, I just struggled with right now.

but I don’t know if that is reasonable.

You need to ask for what you need. If that's what you need, ask :)

It just sounds like you came back too early, honestly prioritise yourself and get signed off until your head injury is better.
