Twinkl - has it improved since 5 years ago?

Looking for teacher reviews really. I’m interested as a Supply Teacher. I didn’t find much for secondary science with my previous subscription 5 years ago. (You couldn’t pay monthly at the time I seem to recall).

If it has improved I might be interested in renewing my subscription..otherwise not.

For secondary science, I'd say I used it mainly for revision mats (which are good, and have answers available), and some of their practice papers aren't bad. There are also some useful worksheets for KS3.

Sometimes they have some good activities for the end of term.

Not much use for day to day teaching, but can be useful for revision activities/cover.

Thanks. Actually, I may have seen the revision mats in one school. I hadn’t realised they were Twinkl.

I may consider it going forward.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

I suspected as much…

Though I do like the revision mats if they’re the ones I’ve seen…

Worth checking back in a couple of years. Used to be totally shite for primary and now I couldn't live without it. I think in primary it's recognised most people use it some of the time whereas in the past I trimmed all the Twinkl logos off the bottom so no one would see!

It's good for primary, particularly if you cut and paste bits to make your own lessons.

Im looking for access to free unlimited subscription twinkl account. Anyone would like to share login detail for free?😍or small payment?😊

Twinkl's pretty hot on making you reset your password if you sign on from too many different IP addresses...

I think it depends on what you need. I'm a private tutor for English GCSE, and find it useful for the raw materials which can be used for 'practice papers' that cover all the exam boards. However. I have almost never used the resource posted 'as is', but have had to adapt it/write better questions for the texts etc.

Having said that, for the annual sub, and with the range of students and needs that I help every year, I find it's worth it just to know 'it's there' if I need it. (Same goes for Teachit, although that is usually more useful overall)

If someone's got a personal account it's got pretty good at checking you're not logged in on multiple machines at once, so unfortunately most people won't be able to share.

I am retired teacher and never liked Twinkl. I did use Hamilton Trust and found it to have very useful content and excellent differentiation. Planning and resources were easily adapted.

Twinkl has some really good materials over a wide range in my opinion. As pp said, it's only really a back up though. Extremely useful when you're short on time and need to pull something together quickly.
I'd never base my teaching on it in a more permanent way though, it would end up quite poor quality I think.
