Anyone else applying to work at a different school? How is it going? I have 2 im waiting to her back from but seems like even getting shortlisted is difficult.

Keep going, a couple of knock backs is the norm.

I'm in same position as you. Have started to look. Have applied and interviewed for 2 so far. Knocked back for both.

Hoping to visit a couple more over next few weeks ahead of closing date.

Fingers crossed.

@namechangedyetagain I have one next week. Did they give you any feedback?

Feedback was really positive. Close second both times (but they prob say that to everyone!). First job I knew I wouldn't get when a teacher who had been there 6 years turned up for her old job and the governor welcomed her back. Second just beaten by a better candidate.

The search goes on....

@namechangedyetagain at least it was positive. Keep forgetting could get rejected after interview 😫 process so long. Hope you find somewhere

@skyG2023 how is it going? Did you get the job? I have another interview this week and another application in.

I’m back interviewing again this week after a lengthy time in my current post. Nothing useful to add just solidarity! It’s an unbelievably arduous process. Good luck!

namechangedyetagain · 23/04/2023 08:40

Interview is with school A but I much prefer school B though (should I get sifted) that Interview is a whole week later.

Really like both schools but B would be my dream. Would be just my luck to be offered school A after much searching!

Hate the way schools time things and that you have to decide on the day.

Me too. That’s the dilemma I just posted about. I’m contemplating backing out of interview one to just focus on interview two.

Have just had a look. If you are aiming to be back in the class eventually I'd prob go for interview 1 (there's no reason you can't say no if offered). If it turns out not to be what you're expecting on interview day then you still have interview 2 coming up. And if that's where you're heart is at the moment then it's a win win situation?

Not sure I've explained myself well there
Trying to listen to DD read at same time!
