Hello,

Does anybody know how to work out how many hours I should be teaching on a 0.4 hour contract please?

Thank you!

I'm 0.4 in primary and work 2 full days, and within that get 1hr 10 PPA. Also expected to attend all parent consultations (which never fall on my working days) and 1 staff meeting every other week.

Are you already in a 0.4 contacted role? Ask for a breakdown of your directed hours from your line manager/Head/HR.

You need to count up your school's full time hours and work out the maths. I got my contract changed by 0.02 because they were underpaying me because our mornings are longer than the afternoon and I did part days.

Depends on school day.

Ours is a 5.5 hr day so 11 hours
66 minutes of PPA which would be 60 minutes (10% of 10 actual teaching hours)

Thank you so much. I will look at my contract and check the hours.
