Strike action

When going on strike, is it assumed you stay off for both days? Someone said to me prior to going off, are you planning on doing one or both days?

I always assumed that being on strike meant you were off for both days? You can’t just have one off then go on the other as that sort of defeats the point?

Ideally you would be off for both days but some people can't afford it. For them it's better to show support for at least one of the days.
We've had teachers who only chose to strike for 2 out of the 4 days.
