Interview on strike day

How would you feel about this? Union have said it's ok to attend but is this a red flag? Wouldn't be able to see a normal school day, still expected to teach a lesson to a mixed group on alternative timetable. MAT and RI. Thoughts?

I would see it as a massive red flag, yeah.

How much do you want the job?

We had interviews planned for a strike day. We moved them.

Hmmm, not looking great is it?!

It would matter to me that it suggests the HoD is not on strike and not supportive of strike action. It would matter to me that SLT hadn't even considered that some candidates may not want to interview on this day. It would matter to me that I potentially couldn't meet the department (have they done this on purpose?).

I also think teaching interview lessons to mixed groups (I did this once during covid) is really, really hard.

We had interviews scheduled on the strike day back in Feb, we re-scheduled for a couple days later.
