I work 4 days. One day is covered by a member of slt but I do all planning, reports, class assembly, assessments. I'm 100% for 80% pay. I know I should say something but as the cover is slt (depH) it's extremely awkward. Wwyd?

Do you get any extra PPA time? You definitely ought to get the full ration, arguably extra since planning for someone else is more time-consuming than for yourself.

If you ask about something like that and they say they can't work it, then perhaps they could give you an extra day off-timetable when it gets to reports.

Do you get to decide the class timetable? You might be able to shift things onto their day so that they do a more proportionate amount of the marking, or take responsibility for all the science, or something like that. If what they deliver is just random maths/literacy and art/PE, they won't be taking 20% of the marking load. If there are tests, make sure at least one is the dep head's day and therefore their marking load.

It's a private school so we get more ppa than standard I believe. There is 6 hours of non contact in the week of which I have 4.5 or 75%.

Sorry clicked too soon. Y2 class and the timetable is out of my control but yes I think an idea of a day off timetable for reports sounds sensible
