Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone could give any insight into how long you wait between an application closing date and hearing if you have been selected for an interview?
The window for applications shuts tomorrow morning and then the interviews are due to be held early the following week.
Just so I know when to give up hope by or how long I will have to plan a lesson.
I will be an ECT so this is all completely new to me but as a mature student with children, I am feeling the pressure to secure a job!

Thanks in advance

Usually within a couple of days from closing date, you'll usually have 2 or 3 days to prepare for interview.

And then you would usually find out at the end of the day of interviews if you're successful or not.

Good luck!

Brilliant - thank you!

I would suspect that you would hear an update in the early part of this week. I’d say by Wednesday at the latest.

Sometimes schools plans don't work as they plan - so the time from 'advert to interview' is longer.

With the teacher strikes it may delay shortlisting or interviewing - so don't - count yourself out.

if it takes longer! :)

Thank you - that is good to know. I will just be patient and keep my fingers crossed!
