I did on 0.7. There's that while thing about not allowing part time workers to be treated unfavourably.

Bleese · 27/01/2023 10:29

*whole thing

samsonthecat · 27/01/2023 18:08

Yes I am 0.8 and on ups3

Hayliebells · 27/01/2023 18:11

Yep, I am. I passed through threshold as a part-time teacher, and have progressed up the threshold as a part-time teacher.

Malbecfan · 27/01/2023 20:08

Yes. I passed through years ago as 0.4 and am now 0.65 and UPS3

Bronzeisthecolour · 27/01/2023 21:52

Thanks, my head teacher is discouraging me as I'm part time and it requires extra responsibility and time I school. I'm 0.8.

It shouldn't require extra responsibility. It might require a "whole school contribution" somehow, but that doesn't mean extra responsibility.

It does not require extra responsibility. That's what a TLR is for.

Meredusoleil · 28/01/2023 02:12

Yes but it was harder than had I been full time and I was told not to apply first. It took me 8 years to get onto UPS1 rather than the usual 6, this was back when we moved up a paypoint each year.

GrammarTeacher · 28/01/2023 09:57

Yup, seconding the point that UPS is NOT for responsibility. You have to show you move made a contribution. However, responsibilities should be done as TLRs.

Thanks all great info to have. I will have an informal chat with line manager.

Yes 0.6 and ups3 here. It is harder work because a lot of my ft colleagues have tlrs that involve ft contributions so they don't have to jumper through additional hoops. I am constantly being reminded I must show my contributions and having various jobs palmed off on me.
