That was a hard week

What a week!

Extra long day at the start of the week with after school activities, so the day finished at 8pm. Then towards the end of the week I had to deal with a significant issue (sorry, I know it is frustrating but I can’t say what due to confidentiality).

SLT did say I could take some time both yesterday and today (boarding school, 6 day a week gig). I did get cover for a couple of lessons (but that always feels like more work later).

Totally wiped out tonight. Early night on the sofa with my dogs.

Not sure what I want from this thread, just company from other teachers will understand how draining one of “those” weeks can be.

Finishing at 8pm sounds exhausting, and I don't think I could manage being "on" for 6 days a week regularly.

I hope you get a good chance to recharge tomorrow.

Thanks. Saturdays are a lot of fun, I have an awesome bunch of kids then.

It just doesn't give you much downtime when it is a tough week.

That doesn't sound too bad, but if you've had a stressful week then it's often important to have time to recharge- which working 6 days really doesn't give you!

I hope next week is easier!
