Hi, has anyone done this recently? Looking to earn some extra cash but I’ve seen some negative posts now that it’s through capita. Also not sure if I’ll be experienced in y6 enough specifically. I’ve taught for 10 years but only taught y6 as part of ppa cover. Thanks

I haven't taught y6 since before the NC changed but I got accepted last year without question. However, a week before the training I looked in my diary and realised I had no idea when I was going to fit marking in, so I withdrew.

One friend told me I'd made the right choice because the training was such a shit show - massive technical issues/people were sent incorrect joining links so it went on far longer than planned and they had to meet again to finish everything off. And another friend talked about how frustrating it was sitting there on a Sunday afternoon waiting to mark, pressing refresh on the system repeatedly to see if any more questions had been allocated to her.

You could sign up for this year, see how dire it is and then decide if you want to do it in the future?

Following on from this. I'm maths trained but not primary. Everything says it's chaos but on the other hand I could do with extra money...
